Sunday afternoons at Melomano include an Afro Cuban Salsa class that introduces the circular footwork and rumba influences that distinguish Casino-style Salsa from the linear New York and LA styles. Participants explore clave, body movement, and how Afro Cuban percussion connects directly to the way this style is danced, with plenty of partner and rueda work throughout the session. Prior Salsa experience at any level is helpful for getting the most out of this class.
