Pratt's glass studios host a Friday flameworking class where students learn to melt glass rods with a small torch and wind molten glass onto a mandrel to form beads. Techniques include round beads, bicones, and basic surface decoration with dots and twists. All safety gear, torches, and glass rods in a range of colors are supplied, and finished beads are kiln-annealed and ready to take home.
