Allied Woodshop in Highland Park runs a Thursday evening class introducing joinery concepts used in furniture construction, including mortise-and-tenon, pocket screws, and dowel joints built with both hand and power tools. Students work on a take-home bench or shelf project that demonstrates each joint type taught during the session. All lumber, hardware, and shop access are included.
