Lei Making Cultural Class

Royal Hawaiian Center offers a free lei making class every Tuesday at noon in the Royal Grove, where a Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner guides participants through the needles-and-thread method of stringing plumeria, tuberose, or other fragrant flowers into a traditional lei. The class is free and open to all without registration, though showing up a few minutes early is recommended during the busy summer season. You leave with a lei you made yourself and a deeper appreciation for this central Hawaiian cultural tradition.
