Learning to Boulder Class

About this class

First Ascent's introductory bouldering class places participants on the 10,000-square-foot wall at Block 37 with a friendly instructor who covers footwork, body positioning, falling technique, and route reading before guiding the group through a progressive series of climbs calibrated to build confidence on the wall. The 60-minute session is open to complete beginners and includes a session pass and rental gear in the $29 non-member price, making it one of the most accessible entry points into rock climbing anywhere in the city. By the end of the class, most participants can read a V0 or V1 problem and have the foundational vocabulary to keep developing independently.
