Students choose their vessel, select fragrance oils from a scent palette, and learn the temperature management, fragrance load ratios, and wick sizing principles that determine how evenly and cleanly a candle burns when the finished piece is lit at home. Instructors explain the differences between soy, coconut, and paraffin wax and why each behaves differently in terms of scent throw, cure time, and surface texture, so students can make informed decisions about the candle they are building rather than just following a recipe blindly. Each participant leaves with a labeled, cured candle they made themselves and a card documenting their exact formula so they can recreate the same scent again if they want to.
