Stand-Up Comedy Workshop

iO Theater's stand-up workshops teach the foundational craft of writing and performing original comedy material, covering joke structure, premise identification, persona development, and the mechanics of timing and delivery. Each session combines short instructional blocks with generous performance time at the mic, giving participants real stage reps under the guidance of an instructor with professional stand-up experience. Students are encouraged to bring works-in-progress and expect both direct feedback and the kind of supportive creative pressure that makes the comedy sharpening process work.
