Kayak Skills: Level 1

About this class

This class covers proper kayak seating position, basic forward stroke, sweep stroke for turning, and edge control before taking you onto the river for a guided skills paddle. The instructor corrects technique in real time so you are not reinforcing bad habits through unguided open paddling. The group stays together and the instructor sets a pace appropriate for the skill level of everyone in the session.
