Brentwood Art Center leads a Sunday plein air painting outing to a scenic LA location each week, teaching how to work quickly outdoors by prioritizing big shapes, limited palette mixing, and rapid tonal assessment before rendering detail. The instructor demonstrates their own approach for the first thirty minutes and then circulates to coach each student individually for the remainder of the session. Easels, panels, and basic paint sets are available to borrow if you do not have your own.
