Ballroom Dance Chicago's Lindy Hop classes teach the foundational vocabulary of the original American swing dance, starting with basic eight-count patterns and developing the elastic, improvisational connection that makes Lindy Hop so distinctive on the social dance floor. Classes rotate through partner roles and use a mix of individual technique drills and partnered practice to develop both leading and following skills simultaneously. The Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions are part of a rolling four-week series designed so that new students can join at any point in the rotation.
