Handmade Studio TN dinnerware slab building class teaches students to make a small coordinated set of functional tableware items including a plate, bowl, and small dish using consistent slab-rolling and forming techniques that produce pieces that look like they belong together. The instructor covers how to plan a cohesive set in terms of scale, wall thickness, and surface decoration before students begin, so the work feels considered from the start rather than accidental. Students leave with a set of three pieces in greenware and the skills to continue making tableware at home or in open studio time.
