About this class
In this session you learn to shape clay without a wheel, using pinch, coil, and slab construction techniques to build bowls, tiles, and sculptural objects. The instructor demonstrates each method, then guides you as you work through your own project from start to finish. Hand building is a great complement to wheel work and opens up forms that are difficult to achieve on a wheel, and all materials and kiln firings are included.
