Seasonal Flower Arranging Workshop

About this class

Flower arranging is a combination of design principles and hand skills, and this two-hour workshop teaches both. You'll work with whatever seasonal blooms arrived at market that week (your instructor tells you what they are and why they were chosen), learning to strip stems properly, cut at the right angle to maximize water uptake, and build an arrangement from a focal point outward. You'll cover the mechanics of flower frogs versus floral foam versus hand-tied arrangements, proportion and the golden ratio in floral design, and how to make a lush arrangement without overpacking. You leave with the arrangement you built. All flowers, stems, vessels, and tools provided. BYOB welcome.
