Handbuilding is the oldest approach to working with clay, using your hands and simple tools rather than a spinning wheel to create sculptural and functional forms. This Wednesday evening eight-week series teaches pinching, coiling, and slab construction techniques that give students the freedom to build shapes that are impossible on the wheel. All materials and firings are included, making it easy to dive in with no prior experience.
