Students get one-on-one time with an electric potter's wheel and are walked through the foundational movements of centering, opening, and pulling walls while an instructor offers hands-on corrections to body position and hand pressure throughout the session. The focus is on developing muscle memory through repetition, each participant throws multiple cylinders in a single class rather than spending two hours on a single piece, so that the movements start to become intuitive rather than effortful. Clay, glazing fees, and kiln firing are included in the class price, and finished pieces can be collected after the kiln schedule allows, typically within two to three weeks.
