Monday Spoon Carving Workshop

Allied Woodshop in Highland Park offers a Monday evening spoon carving class where you shape a wooden spoon entirely by hand using a hook knife, straight knife, and carving gouge on a piece of green or kiln-dried wood provided by the shop. The instructor teaches safe knife grip and carving strokes and helps you progress from rough blank to finished and oiled spoon in a single three-hour session. All tools and wood are provided and you keep the spoon you make.
