This outdoor photography class takes students on a guided walk through Charleston's historic district to photograph the city's antebellum architecture, wrought iron gates, and painted row houses with instruction from a local photographer who knows how to get the most out of these subjects at different times of day. The class covers wide-angle composition, managing harsh sunlight and shade, and working with architectural perspective, and students return to the center to review and discuss their images as a group. The combination of technical instruction and location knowledge makes this a favorite for both local students and visitors.
Charleston Architecture Photography Walk runs for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
This class is open to all skill levels, from first-timers to those with some experience.
No prior experience needed. Most people attending are complete beginners.
