East Side Pot Shop's beginner wheel class runs on Saturday mornings in a small-group format, giving new students dedicated time to learn centering and pulling under close instructor supervision. The three-hour session allows enough time to throw multiple practice pieces and begin developing the muscle memory that wheel throwing requires. The East Austin studio has a welcoming, artist-run feel with access to cone 10 reduction and soda firing kilns.
