Circus Center's intro flying trapeze class gets you on the bar within the first 15 minutes, starting with a coached take-off from the platform and building toward a knee hang and forward somersault dismount by the end of the 90-minute session with a safety line attached for every swing. The instructor calls timing cues from the ground and the catcher is in the air if the group is ready for a catch attempt by the end. No gymnastics background is needed and the class is open to most adults who are physically able to climb a ladder.
