Joey's Surf Lessons runs beginner surf lessons a half block from Ocean Beach in the Outer Sunset, starting on the sand with a paddling and pop-up briefing before heading into the whitewater. The instructor stays close in the water to help you catch and ride your first waves, and board and wetsuit rental are included. No experience is needed and all skill levels are welcome.
