The Annoyance Theatre
๐ 851 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, ILThe Annoyance Theatre on West Belmont Avenue in Lakeview has been one of Chicago's most beloved comedy institutions since 1987, known for a raw, anti-authoritarian approach to improv that produced alumni like David Pasquesi and Tim Kazurinsky. The training program starts with AP1, an eight-week beginner course that meets once a week and covers the foundational principles of ensemble improv through games, scene work, and character exercises. Classes are small, taught by working performers, and end with a student showcase on the final Sunday of the term.
