Back Porch Soap Company

Back Porch Soap Company is a natural soap and skincare studio on the Upper West Side run by master soapmaker Marla Bosworth, who has been formulating plant-based products since 1998. Her cold process soap making workshop teaches participants how organic oils, botanical additives, and essential oil blends interact during saponification, and covers safe lye handling in a clear, beginner-friendly format. Every participant leaves with their handmade batch of soap and a written recipe to replicate it at home.
