Japan Society Language Center

Japan Society's Language Center has offered Japanese instruction in New York since the organization's founding in 1907, running courses from complete beginner through advanced levels in both in-person and online formats. Summer sessions cover 10 weeks of instruction in condensed schedules, with intensive weekend options for learners who want to progress faster. Both member and non-member enrollment are available, and the center's experienced instructors use the Genki textbook series alongside conversation practice and cultural context to build well-rounded language ability.
