At Vela, you make a custom soy candle from scratch in 90 minutes and leave with a finished product ready to burn. You'll select your vessel (10+ options, from amber glass to concrete), choose your wax color if desired, and blend your own fragrance from Vela's library of 60+ essential oils: citrus, florals, woods, musks, and seasonal blends. Your instructor guides you through the blending ratios that produce a strong throw, the correct pour temperature for soy wax (key to avoiding sinkholes and fragrance separation), and proper wick placement. The candle sets during class and is cool enough to take home when you leave. BYOB encouraged. All wax, fragrance oils, wicks, and vessels provided.
