About this class
Film photography is slower, more deliberate, and more mysterious than digital, and the darkroom is where its magic happens. In this intensive class you'll load a camera with 35mm film, shoot a full roll outside the studio (or use pre-exposed film provided), then develop it yourself: loading the developing tank in complete darkness, mixing chemicals, and processing your negatives in the darkroom's wet area. You'll finish by making contact sheets under the enlarger and selecting frames to print. Your instructor teaches both the technical process and how to read a negative. You leave with developed negatives and at least one darkroom print. All film, chemicals, paper, and darkroom time included.
