Improv 101 (6-Week Course)

About this class

This six-week beginner course covers the core principles of improvisation, including "yes, and," active listening, character building, and ensemble work, taught by a working comedian in a relaxed Santa Monica studio. Each three-hour session pushes you to get out of your head and start playing, and by week six the whole class performs together in a live showcase at the Westside Comedy Theater stage. No comedy background or prior experience is needed to start, most people sign up exactly because they want to do something outside their comfort zone.
