RISE Comedy's stand-up workshop covers joke structure, premise development, and the mechanics of getting laughs in front of a live audience, with participants writing and performing a short set at the end of the session in front of the rest of the class. The instructor works through their own material as examples and gives specific written feedback on each participant's set. No prior comedy experience is needed and the Five Points theater provides a real stage.
