Watercolor for Absolute Beginners

Watercolor is uniquely unforgiving and uniquely beautiful: you can't paint over mistakes, but happy accidents are often the best parts of the painting. This beginner workshop teaches you how to use the medium honestly: wet-on-wet for soft, blooming effects; wet-on-dry for controlled edges; flat washes and graduated washes; and negative painting (painting around your subject to define it). You'll complete three small studies and a final painting to take home. Instructor circulates continuously for individual guidance. All watercolors, brushes, paper, and reference materials provided.
