Astor Center's Elements of Wine is a two-hour beginner wine class on East 4th Street where a professional instructor walks you through six pours covering the core grape varieties and styles, paired with bread and cheese throughout. The class covers how to evaluate aroma, flavor, body, and structure using the same framework that trained sommeliers use, so you leave with a practical vocabulary rather than just impressions you can't articulate. Students get a 20% discount on any wine tasted that evening at the Astor Wines shop next door.
