This 75-minute guided SUP lesson covers stance, balance, the forward paddle stroke, steering, and turning on the flat, protected water of Newport Back Bay, which has almost no boat traffic or waves and is one of the best places in Orange County to learn paddleboarding. The instructor is in the water with the group, demonstrates each technique, and gives real-time corrections throughout the session. Equipment is included, the pace is relaxed, and the Back Bay setting is genuinely beautiful, you are paddling through a natural estuary with egrets, herons, and occasionally dolphins rather than a crowded marina.
