Beginner Archery Lesson

About this class

Redwood Bowmen's introductory archery class runs for two hours in the Oakland Hills range and covers range safety, basic equipment orientation, stance, grip, draw, anchor point, and release with recurve bows provided by the range and USA Archery certified instructors walking each participant through form adjustments after every shot group. The redwood forest setting on Skyline Boulevard gives the range a completely different feel from an indoor or urban venue, and the 20 and 30-yard covered lanes are open to the public for independent practice after the class. Register in advance through the East Bay Regional Park District.
