Stand-Up Comedy 101 (6-Week Course)

About this class

This six-week stand-up class is built around writing and performing your own material, starting from the very beginning with how to find your comedic voice and structure a joke, then workshopping sets in class each week with feedback from the instructor and your classmates. The course ends with a live performance at the Westside Comedy Theater, which is the actual gig most students are nervous about and ultimately most proud of. Beginners are the target audience, so you are not expected to have any material ready before the first class.
