Men's Haircutting and Barbering Workshop

A hands-on full-day workshop where participants work on live models under the instruction of 30-year hairdresser Laara Raynier at District 87 Salon on the Bowery. Students learn barbering techniques including scissors-over-comb, layering, and classic men's styles, with instruction on how to read head shape, analyze growth patterns, and adapt your approach for different hair textures. Classes are kept small so every participant gets substantial one-on-one time with Laara throughout the day.
