Hickory Clay's eight-week wheel throwing course in the Mission District covers centering, opening, pulling walls, collar techniques, basic bowl and cylinder forms, trimming, and glazing in a progressively structured curriculum taught under the studio's distinctive clerestory windows. The 22-wheel studio gives every student their own wheel for the full session and open studio time is included so you can practice between classes. This is a multi-session course; enrollment is for the full eight-week run. All clay and firing costs are included.
