One Day Wheel Throwing

In a single two-hour session you'll experience the full sensory reality of throwing on a wheel: the resistance of wet clay, the effort of centering, and the almost meditative calm of pulling walls. Your instructor demonstrates each step (wedging, centering, opening, pulling, and collaring) and then moves from wheel to wheel providing hands-on guidance. You'll make two or three cylinders; some will collapse, and that's expected and fine. This is about building tactile memory, not making perfect pieces. Clay, tools, and kiln firing of your best piece are included. Pieces are ready to collect after firing (1–2 weeks). Aprons provided.
