About this class

This two-hour introductory scuba session is designed for people who want to try breathing underwater before committing to a full certification, and it takes place in a pool with an experienced instructor in the water with you at all times. You are fitted with full scuba gear including a wetsuit, BCD, regulator, fins, and mask, and your instructor walks you through how to breathe underwater, how to equalize pressure as you descend, and how to signal and communicate with a dive buddy. By the end of the session you have been underwater on your own tanks, which is a genuinely unusual and memorable thing to have done for the first time.
