Lyra, or aerial hoop, is a steel ring suspended from the ceiling that you climb into, balance on, and hang from to create poses and sequences. This beginner drop-in class teaches basic mounts, fundamental positions, and how to manage your body weight on the apparatus safely. Lyra classes at Aerial Arts NYC are capped at small groups so the instructor can spot and correct form on every student throughout the session.
