The Crucible's introductory jewelry and metals workshop covers basic sawing, filing, forming, and soldering with sterling silver in a single session taught in the school's fully equipped metals studio, resulting in a simple finished piece such as a ring band or pendant. The session is appropriate for complete beginners with no prior metalworking experience, and all tools, silver, and safety equipment are provided. The West Oakland location is accessible from the BART station two blocks away.
