Sea Kayaking Level 1 Course

About this class

Cal Adventures' Sea Kayaking Level 1 course covers forward stroke, sweep stroke, bracing, wet exit, and the basic rescue skills needed to paddle safely on San Francisco Bay in a multi-session format taught by certified instructors at the Berkeley Marina. The course is open to community members who are not affiliated with UC Berkeley and graduates are qualified to rent kayaking equipment from the marina independently after completing both sessions. This is a multi-session course. Non-student price is $175 for the full course.
