Bachata Drop-In Class

About this class

Ashkenaz's bachata drop-in class covers the side-to-side basic step, body wave initiation, and basic close-hold turns in an accessible group format followed by a social dance session with music. No partner is required and the class is designed for people who have never danced before as well as those returning after a break. The West Berkeley location has a community cafe on-site and the evening runs with live music on most nights.
