This 120-minute drop-in class at Pottery Studio 1 on the Upper West Side covers hand-building techniques including coiling, slab rolling, and pinch pot construction, with guided instruction throughout so you are never stuck figuring out what to do next. All clay, tools, glazing, and kiln firing are included in the per-person price, and the studio has a BYOB policy so you can bring a drink and make an afternoon of it. No membership or prior experience is required, which makes it one of the most accessible ways to try ceramics in the neighborhood.
