A four-session course meeting weekly for three hours per session, covering intaglio printmaking techniques including etching and drypoint on metal plates. All materials are included and students receive 12 hours of studio time in a professional printmaking facility that the Lower East Side Printshop has operated since 1968. The course covers plate preparation, mark-making, acid etching, and editioning, and is appropriate for complete beginners.
