Spinnaker Sailing's ASA 101 Basic Keelboat course runs over two days at Pier 40 in South Beach Harbor and combines classroom theory with on-the-water instruction on San Francisco Bay, one of the most technically demanding and beautiful sailing environments in the country. The course covers sail trim, points of sail, tacking and jibing, reefing, docking, and man-overboard procedure, and students who complete both days earn an ASA 101 certification that qualifies them to charter sailboats nationwide. This is a multi-session course spanning two days; enrollment is for the full course.
