Print Your Own Stationery: Letterpress Workshop

About this class

Working alongside Bowne's designers in a 19th-century letterpress shop inside the South Street Seaport Museum, participants select from a collection of historical metal typefaces, set their own type by hand, mix ink, and print a custom edition of 35 notecards on a working platen press. All supplies are included and everyone takes home their stationery set, valued at $250 retail. Museum admission to the South Street Seaport Museum is included in the workshop ticket, and the workshop runs the last Saturday and Sunday of each month.
