Trapeze School New York at Pier 40 runs beginner flying trapeze classes where you climb the ladder, grab the bar, and swing out over the net with a safety line always attached. The instructor calls out each move from the ground and by your third or fourth swing most participants are releasing and catching in mid-air. No experience or athletic background is needed and the session is open to people of most fitness levels.
