In this 90-minute hands-on session you learn to throw on the pottery wheel from scratch, working through centering, opening, and pulling up a cylinder with guidance from the instructor throughout. The studio keeps class sizes small so you actually get individual attention rather than waiting for your turn while someone else throws, and every session is guided by a ceramicist rather than left to self-directed learning. Olomana fires and glazes finished pieces from their multi-week courses; for drop-in sessions you take your unfired work home or arrange pickup after the kiln run.
