Intro to Woodturning

About this class

Chicago School of Woodworking's introductory woodturning class teaches you to operate a lathe safely and use a small set of spindle and bowl gouges to shape a piece of wood into a finished cylinder, simple bowl form, or decorative spindle. The session covers tool sharpening, tool rest positioning, and cutting technique for both spindle and faceplate work, and participants leave with one or two turned pieces. No prior woodworking experience is needed.
