This intermediate sketch writing course is for people who have taken Sketch 101 or have prior writing experience and want to move into more advanced sketch formats, character-based pieces, and how to workshop scripts with other writers without losing the original voice of what you wrote. The sessions cover structure in more depth than the intro course, with a focus on finding the escalating move in a scene and knowing when a sketch has said what it needs to say. The course ends with a produced showcase of student-written material performed on the Westside Comedy stage.
